Job Description : Head of Warehouse & Inventory @ Ethiopia for a Top Iron & Steel company. Preferred The person will be responsible for the overall management of warehouse operations and inventory control across the organization. The role ensures efficient storage, accurate inventory management, timely material availability, and compliance with company policies while optimizing warehouse space, minimizing inventory losses, and supporting uninterrupted production operations. Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations · Lead and manage all warehouse operations, including raw materials, finished goods, consumables, spare parts, and project materials. · Ensure efficient receiving, inspection, storage, issuance, and dispatch of materials. · Develop and implement warehouse policies, SOPs, and best practices. · Optimize warehouse layouts to maximize storage capacity and operational efficiency. · Ensure safe handling and storage of materials in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Inventory Management · Establish and maintain accurate inventory records through ERP and warehouse management systems. · Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock-outs and excess inventory. · Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inventory reconciliations. · Lead cycle counts and physical stock verification exercises. · Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions. · Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, and non-moving inventory and recommend disposal or utilization plans. ERP & Inventory Controls · Ensure all inventory transactions are accurately recorded in the ERP system. · Maintain proper documentation for receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments. Supply Chain Coordination · Coordinate closely with Procurement to ensure timely receipt of purchased materials. · Work with Production and Maintenance teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability. Reporting & Analysis · Prepare monthly inventory reports and warehouse performance dashboards. · Report inventory accuracy, stock ageing, inventory turnover, and warehouse utilization. Compliance & Safety · Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO standards, and statutory regulations. Qualifications · Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field. · Professional qualification such as CIPS, CILT, CPSP-K, or equivalent is an added advantage. · Certification in Inventory or Warehouse Management is desirable. Experience · Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in warehouse and inventory management. · At least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a manufacturing environment. · Experience in the steel manufacturing industry is highly preferred. · Strong experience with ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, Odoo,
