Job Description : Workshop Maintenance Manager – Heavy Construction Equipment Position Title: Workshop Maintenance Manager Department: Equipment / Maintenance Construction / Heavy Equipment / Earthmoving / Infrastructure Projects Location: Dammam, Saudi Arabia Reporting To: Equipment Manager / Project Manager / Operations Manager Job Purpose: The Workshop Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing the complete maintenance, repair, overhaul, and operational readiness of the company's heavy earthmoving and construction equipment. The position ensures that all equipment is maintained safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime. The role will manage workshop operations, maintenance teams, spare parts, preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment inspections, breakdowns, major overhauls, and maintenance planning for heavy equipment used on construction and infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: 1. Workshop Management Manage the day-to-day operations of the heavy equipment maintenance workshop. Plan and supervise repair, servicing, overhaul, and maintenance activities. Ensure workshop activities are completed safely, efficiently, and within planned schedules. Allocate equipment, manpower, tools, and resources according to priorities. Maintain proper workshop housekeeping, organization, and safety standards. Establish effective systems for equipment maintenance and workshop workflow. 2. Heavy Equipment Maintenance Supervise maintenance and repair of heavy earthmoving and construction equipment, including: Excavators Wheel loaders Bulldozers Motor graders Backhoe loaders Dump trucks Rollers/compactors Cranes Forklifts Telehandlers Water tankers Generators and compressors Other construction and mobile equipment Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain problems. Ensure timely troubleshooting and rectification of equipment breakdowns. Monitor major component repairs and overhauls, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic pumps, differentials, and final drives. 3. Preventive & Planned Maintenance 4. Breakdown Management 5. Vendor & OEM Coordination Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Heavy Equipment Engineering, or a related technical field. Valid Saudi driving license is preferred. Required Experience: 12+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance, preferably with 3–5 years in managerial position.
