Job Description : VP – API Process R&D IRELAND Open to International candidates Key Requirements ???? Qualification: M.Sc . in Organic Chemistry with Ph.D. ???? Experience: 20+ years of experience in API Process R&D ???? Candidates must have strong experience specifically in API Process R&D from a reputed API Pharmaceutical R&D Centre ???? Proven expertise in process development, scale-up, technology transfer and commercialisation of APIs ???? Strong understanding of process chemistry, route development, optimization and impurity control ???? Experience in leading large R&D teams and managing multiple API development projects ???? Strong exposure to regulatory requirements, documentation and cross-functional collaboration with Manufacturing, QA, QC and Regulatory teams ???? Excellent leadership, strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills Key Responsibilities • Lead the overall API Process R&D function and strategy • Drive innovative and cost-effective API process development initiatives • Lead route scouting, process optimization and scale-up activities • Oversee technology transfer from R&D to commercial manufacturing • Ensure robust, scalable and regulatory-compliant processes • Guide development of complex and differentiated API processes • Build and mentor high-performing R&D teams • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory and Business teams • Drive timelines, productivity, cost optimization and successful commercialization of projects Ideal Candidate A senior API Process R&D leader with 20+ years of hands-on experience in a reputed API pharmaceutical R&D environment, with a strong track record in process development, and team leadership.
