Job Description : Head – Centre of Excellence (COE) – Polymer & Plastics Engineering | VP / GM Level Industry: Automotive – Tier 1 Supplier CTC: ?1.0 – 1.2 Crore per annum (Negotiable for the right candidate) leadership mandate with a large Automotive Tier-1 organization. We are looking for a seasoned technical leader to establish and lead the Centre of Excellence (COE) – Polymer & Plastics Engineering, This is a strategic leadership role focused on driving innovation, advanced engineering capabilities, lightweighting, cost optimization, and new product development, primarily for the 2-Wheeler automotive segment. Key Responsibilities ? Establish and lead the Polymer & Plastics Centre of Excellence. ? Drive innovation, technology development, and engineering excellence. ? Lead new product development and advanced polymer engineering initiatives. ? Strengthen lightweighting, value engineering, and cost optimization programs. ? Develop future-ready polymer solutions aligned with business strategy. ? Collaborate with customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams. ? Build and mentor high-performing engineering and R&D teams. Ideal Candidate Profile ? 25+ years of experience in the Automotive Polymer / Plastics industry. ? Strong experience in the 2-Wheeler Automotive segment (preferred). ? Leadership experience in Innovation, Technology, R&D, or Centre of Excellence functions. ? Expertise in plastic materials, polymer engineering, and injection moulding processes. ? Hands-on experience in plastic component design & development. ? Strong exposure to tooling, mould design, Moldflow analysis, FEA/FSS, and manufacturing process optimization. ? Experience in VA/VE, APQP, DFM/DFA, lightweighting, and cost reduction initiatives. ? Proven ability to lead large technical teams and drive engineering transformation. ? Strong customer-facing experience with OEMs and Tier-1 automotive organizations. Preferred Qualification ???? BE – Polymer Engineering / Plastics Technology ???? M.Tech 1) – Polymer Science ????
