Job Description : GM MALAWI his position calls for a seasoned hospitality leader who can take full ownership of a multi-faceted lodge and safari business, guiding its people, its performance and its long-term direction while protecting an exceptional experience for every guest who visits. Reporting to the Directors, the successful candidate will run daily operations, build and mentor a capable management team, and take charge of the commercial side of the business, from budgeting and cost control through to revenue growth and financial reporting. Beyond the daily running of the property, this individual will play a hands-on role in shaping future growth, spotting new commercial opportunities and helping guide the wider expansion of the business. The role also carries responsibility for keeping the lodge, vessels and equipment maintained to a high standard, upholding safety and compliance obligations, and working closely with the sales and marketing teams to lift occupancy and strengthen the brand across the region. A genuine passion for responsible tourism is important, along with a willingness to build strong relationships with conservation partners, local authorities and neighbouring communities, and to embrace a remote, hands-on lifestyle away from city comforts.
