Job Description : Head Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Location: Lagos, Nigeria Employment Type: Permanent We are seeking an accomplished Head – Mergers & Acquisitions to lead strategic transaction initiatives across high-impact sectors including Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, and Metals & Mining. The ideal candidate must bring deep experience in end-to-end deal execution, investment evaluation, due diligence, valuation, and post-merger integration within industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage the complete M&A lifecycle — from deal sourcing to transaction closure and exits • Assist the COO in developing and implementing M&A strategy, business plans, and execution frameworks • Evaluate acquisition/divestiture opportunities including strategic fit, valuation, commercial attractiveness, and risk assessment • Build robust financial models, business cases, and investment valuation analyses • Lead and coordinate due diligence activities with internal stakeholders and external advisors • Manage interactions with target companies, investment banks, consultants, legal firms, and financial institutions • Prepare investment memorandums, teasers, executive presentations, and transaction documentation • Monitor sector valuation trends, market intelligence, and investment opportunities • Support transaction structuring, fund transfers, and regulatory compliance during deal execution • Participate in post-merger integration planning and execution • Mentor junior team members and drive knowledge-sharing initiatives across the organization Candidate Requirements MBA / CA / Post Graduate qualification 20+ years of experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or Strategic Investments Strong expertise in valuation modelling, financial analysis, due diligence, and deal structuring Experience managing cross-border transactions and stakeholder relationships Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills Willingness to travel for business meetings and transaction activities Preferred Background • Experience working with large industrial groups, conglomerates, PE-backed firms, or multinational organizations • Proven track record of successfully closed M&A transactions in Africa or emerging markets
