Job Description : SUPPLY CHAIN DIRECTOR (EXECUTIVE) Africa Expatriate Opportunity | Mining | Southern Africa A leading mining company in Southern Africa is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Director to lead its Supply Chain function and ensure the competitive, effective and efficient supply of goods and services to the business. Key responsibilities include: - Leadership & People: Lead the Supply Chain function, including people leadership, development, safety and organisational effectiveness. - Inventory Management: Oversee inventory security, control, management and financial accountability. - Shipping & Logistics: Lead inbound replenishment and outbound finished-product logistics. - Strategic Sourcing & Contracts: Develop supply and category strategies and oversee sourcing, contracts and commercial agreements. - Supplier Management: Build strong supplier relationships and drive effective supplier performance and negotiations. - Business Integration: Ensure effective Supply Chain integration with other business functions and alignment with operational and commercial needs. The ideal candidate will have: - 15+ years' Supply Chain Management experience, including 10+ years at management level - Master's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Management or a related field - Strong knowledge of Supply Chain processes, methodologies and ERP systems - Proven sourcing, negotiation and contract management capability Knowledge of contract law - Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills - The ability to operate effectively in a demanding, 24/7 mining environment An expatriate benefits package is included.
