Production Manager

Job Description : Production Manager – Food Manufacturing ???? Location: West Africa We are hiring an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations for a leading food manufacturing company. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in one or more of the following product categories: ???? Chocolate ???? Snacks ???? Cake ???? Bread ???? Rusk ???? Wafer Biscuits ???? Bakery Products Key Responsibilities ? Lead end-to-end production operations to achieve production, quality, safety, and cost targets. ? Maximize plant efficiency by maintaining high OEE through effective production planning and resource utilization. ? Plan and manage manpower, machinery, and raw materials to ensure uninterrupted production. ? Develop production schedules and coordinate with planning, procurement, maintenance, and warehouse teams. ? Monitor production performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and wastage. ? Drive preventive maintenance in coordination with the engineering team. ? Ensure compliance with GMP, GHP, Food Safety, Quality Management Systems, and statutory regulations. ? Monitor product quality, material variance, manufacturing costs, and process optimization. ? Coordinate new product trials with R&D and support product commercialization. ? Lead, train, and develop production teams while maintaining high productivity and shop-floor discipline. ? Handle workforce management, employee engagement, and coordination with HR/IR teams. ? Ensure accurate production reporting, SAP transactions, RM/PM consumption, and daily operational MIS. Candidate Profile ? B.Tech / M.Tech / M.Sc 1) . in Food Technology or a related discipline. ? Additional qualification in Operations Management is preferred. ? Food Safety Audit / Lead Auditor / HACCP / FSMS certification will be an advantage. ? 8–12 years of production management experience in food manufacturing. ? Must have experience in Chocolate, Snacks, Bakery, Bread, Rusk, Cake, Wafer Biscuits, or similar FMCG food manufacturing. ? Strong knowledge of production planning, OEE, Lean Manufacturing, Food Safety, Quality Systems, SAP, and team management.
