CHIEF SECURITY OFFICER

Job Description : CHIEF SECURITY OFFICER EAST AFRICA -20 YEARS To lead and manage the overall security function of the organization, ensuring the protection of employees, assets, infrastructure, materials and critical operations through robust security systems, risk management, statutory compliance, intelligence, emergency preparedness and effective coordination with government and law-enforcement agencies. 01 Security Operations Management Lead end-to-end security operations, access control, gate management, material movement, visitor management, surveillance and develop security strategies across all locations. 02 Security Team Leadership Lead, mentor and manage in-house and outsourced teams. Ensure training. discipline, performance management and build a proactive security culture. 03 Asset Protection & Loss Prevention Safeguard assets & infrastructure. Prevent theft, pilferage, fraud, sabotage and unauthorized activities. Conduct risk assessments and strengthen preventive measures. 04 Investigation & Intelligence Lead investigations, conduct root-cause analysis and recommend actions. Develop intelligence networks to identify and mitigate potential risks. 05 Crisis & Emergency Management Develop emergency response & contingency plans. Coordinate during fire, industrial unrest, natural disasters, accidents & security threats. Conduct mock drills and ensure preparedness. 06 Statutory Compliance & Licensing Ensure compliance with laws, obtain/renew licenses, permits & approvals. Coordinate police verification, arms licenses and statutory requirements. Ensure audit compliance and closure. 07 Government & Law Enforcement Liaison Maintain strong relations with Police, District Administration, Fire Dept. and authorities. Represent organization and coordinate during inspections and emergencies. 08 Security Systems & Technology Manage & upgrade CCTV, access control, biometric systems, alarms, vehicle tracking & other technologies. Drive digital monitoring and modern security practices. 09 Contractor & Vendor Management Manage security service providers and ensure contractual compliance. Evaluate performance and ensure deployment of trained manpower. 10. Industrial Relations Support Support management during industrial disputes, labour gatherings. strikes, lockouts and other sensitive situations. 11. Reporting & Governance Prepare security MIS, incident reports, risk assessments and management reviews. Present updates to senior management and manage budget. ROLE CATEGORY CHIEF SECURITY OFFICER QUALIFICATION • Graduate in any discipline. INDUSTRY TYPE IRON & STEEL • Postgraduate qualification will be an advantage. ? Certification in Industrial Security, Risk Management, Safety or related areas will be preferred. EXPERIENCE ? 20 years of relevant experience in Industrial Security, Plant Security, Defence Services, CISF, Police, Paramilitary Forces or large manufacturing organizations. • Experience in Steel, Power, Cement, Mining, Heavy Engineering, Manufacturing or Process Industries will be preferred. • Proven experience in managing large security teams and complex industrial security operations. PREFERRED PROFILE Retired Defence Personnel from Army, Navy or Air Force. • Retired personnel from CISF, CRPF, BSF, ITBP, State Police or other Central/State Security Forces. ? Candidates with strong industrial security, investigation, intelligence, crisis management and government liaison experience.
