Maintenance & Engineering Manager

Job Description : Maintenance & Engineering Manager - Blow Moulding Facility - Location - Nigeria, Africa - Qualification - Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering - Experience - 10–15 years of experience in plastic manufacturing plants (mandatory), Experience in blow moulding machine maintenance is essential. Nigerian work experience will be preferred Our client is a diversified conglomerate in Africa and is looking for an experienced Maintenance & Engineering professional with a strong background in plastic manufacturing and blow moulding operations with passion for maximizing machine uptime, driving preventive maintenance and leading high-performing engineering teams. Key Responsibilities - Lead the complete maintenance function of the manufacturing facility. - Ensure maximum machine uptime through preventive and breakdown maintenance. - Maintain blow moulding machines, utilities, moulds, and auxiliary equipment. - Manage engineering spare parts inventory through ERP and coordinate local procurement. - Supervise and develop a team of 30+ engineering personnel, including contract staff. - Prepare maintenance schedules, machine health reports, energy reports, and maintenance budgets. - Drive cost optimization, energy efficiency, reliability improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Coordinate effectively with production to ensure uninterrupted operations. ???? Equipment Experience Experience in maintenance of: Jagmohan Accumulator Blow Moulding Machines (30L–250L); Victor IBM 70S; Uniloy (1L–5L); Bestar (25L); Tongda (2L–12L); Air Compressors, Water Chillers, Cooling Towers, LT Panels & other utilities. Desired Skills - Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanical maintenance - Preventive & predictive maintenance planning - Breakdown analysis and troubleshooting - Spare parts planning & inventory management - Team leadership and communication skills - Good spoken English
