Job Description : Financial Controller | Deem Finance – Dubai Deem Finance is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our Finance leadership team. This is a key role responsible for strengthening financial governance, regulatory reporting and controllership within a CBUAE-regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Own monthly, quarterly and annual financial close and IFRS reporting. Lead CBUAE regulatory and prudential reporting, including capital adequacy, liquidity and related returns. Ensure strong application of IFRS 9/ECL, IFRS 16 and other relevant accounting standards. Manage external audits end-to-end and strengthen the internal financial control framework. Oversee cash flow, liquidity, balance sheet quality and funding/covenant reporting. Partner with the CFO, Risk, FP&A and Operations on financial governance and reporting. Lead and develop the financial accounting and reporting team. Drive process improvement, automation and efficiencies across the Finance function. What We’re Looking For ACCA / CA / CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification 10–12+ years of progressive accounting/controllership experience Minimum 4–5 years in a Financial Controller or equivalent senior role Experience within a UAE-regulated financial institution – finance company, bank, NBFC or similar Strong hands-on knowledge of CBUAE regulatory reporting and prudential requirements Deep practical expertise in IFRS, particularly IFRS 9/ECL Experience managing Big 4 or equivalent external audits Advanced Excel and strong ERP/GL/reporting systems capability Strong leadership, stakeholder management and delivery focus
