FINANCE MANAGER

Job Description : FINANCE MANAGER TANZANIA The Finance Manager will oversee all financial activities within the logistics function, ensuring robust financial control, compliance, and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, internal and external audit coordination, and team leadership. The role supports strategic decision-making, drives profitability, and manages working capital to align with organizational objectives. The Finance Manager will report directly to the Head of Logistics and have a dotted-line reporting relationship with the Head of Finance. 3. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Financial Reporting ? Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements. ? Present comprehensive financial performance reports, including variance analysis and commentary, to senior management. 2. Budgeting & Forecasting ? Lead the annual budgeting process across all departments, consolidating inputs to develop aligned financial targets. ? Develop rolling financial forecasts, scenario planning models, and KPI dashboards to facilitate strategic decision-making. 3. Internal Controls & Internal & External Audit ? Establish, implement, and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. ? Coordinate and manage the annual external audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors. ? Address audit findings promptly and implement corrective actions. 4. Cost Control & Optimization ? Analyze operational costs, freight margins, and overhead expenses to identify savings opportunities. ? Develop and implement cost control frameworks aligned with business growth and efficiency goals. ? Provide financial insights to support procurement, pricing, and contract negotiations. 5. Financial Analysis & Strategic Support ? Conduct financial analysis to support key business decisions, including pricing, investments, and operational improvements. ? Provide insights into EBITDA drivers, margin enhancement, and profitability improvement initiatives. 4. Educational and Experience Requirements ? Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. ? Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred. ? Minimum of 6–10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including at least 3 years in a managerial role. ? Prior experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, or related industries is highly desirable. ? Strong understanding of IFRS and local regulatory standards. 5.
