Job Description : Manager – Costing & Management Accounting Location: Central Africa Industry: Mining / Manufacturing / Industrial Experience: 8–15+ Years Qualification: CA / CMA / ACCA / MBA Finance or equivalent Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Manager – Costing & Management Accounting to lead cost accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, management reporting, and cost-control initiatives for a large-scale industrial/mining operation. Key Responsibilities Lead costing, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Develop and monitor product, process, production, and standard costing. Analyze material, labour, overhead, production, logistics, and operating costs. Prepare MIS, management dashboards, profitability analysis, and cost reports. Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive cost optimization initiatives. Partner with Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to improve cost efficiency. Monitor actual vs. budget vs. standard costs and investigate significant variances. Support annual operating plans, CAPEX/OPEX budgeting, and business forecasts. Ensure accurate inventory valuation, cost allocation, and month-end closing. Establish strong internal controls and costing policies in line with accounting standards. Provide senior management with actionable insights for pricing, profitability, and strategic decisions. Lead and develop the costing/management accounting team. Ideal Profile 8–15+ years of experience in Costing / Management Accounting / FP&A / Finance. Strong experience in Mining, Metals, Manufacturing, Cement, Chemicals, or other asset-intensive industries preferred. Excellent knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, MIS, variance analysis, and financial modelling. Strong ERP exposure such as SAP / SAP S/4HANA / Oracle. Advanced Excel and analytical skills. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management capabilities. African / Central African experience is an advantage.
