Job Description : Head of Procurement – Mining Projects (DRC) We are seeking an experienced Head of Procurement to lead our procurement and supply chain operations for large-scale mining and mineral processing projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This is a senior leadership role, responsible for driving procurement strategy, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, and managing international supply chains to support project execution and plant commissioning. ???? Key Responsibilities Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with project milestones. Operations Leadership: Oversee the full procurement cycle from requisition to delivery. Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong supplier networks locally and internationally. Cost Optimization: Drive savings through negotiation, benchmarking, and value engineering. International Procurement: Manage imports, logistics, and compliance across global markets. Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a high-performing procurement team. ???? Key Deliverables Zero avoidable delays in project commissioning and operations. Continuous procurement cost optimization. Strong supplier base with reliable on-time delivery. Robust governance, compliance, and risk management. ???? Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Business. Postgraduate qualification or professional certification (CIPS, CPSM, CSCP) preferred. 15+ years of procurement/supply chain experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role. Strong background in mining, mineral processing, EPC projects, or heavy engineering. Proven expertise in international procurement and import logistics.
