Job Description : Manager - Logistics & Exports - at True Metals Nigeria Limited, Lagos, Nigeria, Africa Logistics & Export Managers oversee and manage every aspect of the shipment of goods from one country to another. They often work with local and overseas vendors, customs officials, and shipping companies. 1. Manage Export Operations: Oversee all aspects of the export process, from planning shipments to liaising with customs and regulatory bodies. 2. Develop Export Strategies: Create and implement strategies to maximize profits and minimize costs associated with international trade. 3. Documentation: Prepare and manage all required shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading. 4. Compliance: Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and monitor changes in trade laws and regulations. 5. Relationship Management: Establish and maintain relationships with international partners, including distributors, agents, and vendors. 6. Negotiate Contracts: Negotiate shipping contracts and freight forwarding agreements to optimize logistics and costs. 7. Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance metrics to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency. 8. MIS Reports: Prepare various MIS Reports on Daily / Weekly / Fortnightly / Monthly basis and share it with the reporting officer for day to day follow up and implementation of work. 9. Coordinating with Custom Officials / Agents: Communication and coordination with Custom Officers / Agents for clearance of Goods and keep track of Custom duties and taxes in general. 10. Dispute Resolution: Resolving issues and disputes related to export activities including late shipments, damaged goods, and incorrect paperwork, if any. 11. Training and Team Building: Training Team members on effective export processes and compliance regulations. Qualification: MBA (Supply Chain Management) / Bachelor Degree in International Business or a related field from a reputed University. Working Experience: Min 10 (Ten) Years of relevant experience in the Supply Chain Management in Manufacturing / Agriculture
