Job Description : FINANCE AND ACCOUNTS MANAGER TANZANIA 10+ years experience Other benefits will be discussed during the interviews: Accommodation Meals Medical insurance Transport Leave cycle Job Purpose To provide accurate, timely and meaningful financial and management accounting information to Management to support effective decision-making, financial control, budgeting, cost management and business performance across Company and its subsidiaries. The Management Accountant will be responsible for management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis, cost control, variance analysis and providing financial insights to management and operational teams. Key Responsibilities A. Management Reporting Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts. Prepare management reports covering revenue, expenditure, profitability, cash flow, working capital and key financial indicators. Analyse financial performance against budgets, forecasts and prior periods. Prepare management commentary explaining significant financial movements and variances. Ensure management reports are accurate, consistent and supported by appropriate financial records. Budgeting and Forecasting Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Consolidate budgets from subsidiaries, departments and business units. Monitor actual performance against approved budgets. Identify significant budget variances and recommend corrective actions. Support management in developing financial projections and business plans. C. Cost and Profitability Analysis Monitor operating costs and identify areas of cost overruns or inefficiency. Analyse project, contract, departmental and business-unit profitability. Review direct and indirect costs and assess cost allocation methodologies. Provide financial analysis to support pricing and commercial decisions. Develop and monitor appropriate cost and profitability KPIs. D. Financial Control Ensure the integrity and accuracy of management accounting information. Review accounting records and reconciliations relevant to management reporting. Work closely with Financial Accounting teams to resolve discrepancies. Support implementation and monitoring of internal financial controls. Assist with audit processes and provide supporting information when required. E. Cash Flow and Working Capital Monitor working capital performance, including receivables, payables and inventory. Support preparation of cash flow forecasts. Analyse cash conversion and identify opportunities to improve working capital. Provide management with early warning of potential cash flow pressures. F. Business Support Provide financial advice to operational and business-unit managers. Support evaluation of new projects, contracts and investments. Prepare financial models and analysis for management decisions. Participate in business reviews and performance meetings. Translate financial information into practical business recommendations. 4. Key Performance Indicators Timely submission of monthly management accounts. Accuracy and reliability of management reports. Budget and forecast accuracy. Timely identification and explanation of material variances. Improved cost control and profitability. Quality of financial analysis and management recommendations. Effective working capital monitoring. Compliance with Group financial policies and procedures. 5. Qualifications and Experience Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field. CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification is a requirement. Registration / Membership of NBAA or relevant professional body will be required after joining. Experience: At least 7 years' relevant experience in management accounting, financial reporting, FP&A or commercial finance. Experience in a diversified Group environment is an advantage. Experience in mining, construction, engineering, logistics or other project-based industries will be an added advantage. 6. Technical Competencies Strong management accounting and financial reporting skills. Budgeting and forecasting. Financial modelling and scenario analysis. Cost and profitability analysis. Advanced Excel skills. Strong knowledge of accounting systems/ERP. Good understanding of IFRS and financial controls. Ability to analyse large volumes of financial data. Strong report-writing and presentation skills.
