Head of Accounts 
20 yearsJob Description : Head of Accounts Department: Finance & Accounts Location: Dubai, UAE Reports To: CEO / Managing Director Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Head of Accounts to lead the company’s accounting and financial reporting function. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, strengthening financial controls, managing cash flow, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing management with timely and reliable financial information. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and supervise the Accounts & Finance team and oversee day-to-day accounting operations. - Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, payroll, and fixed assets. - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. - Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, and variance analysis. - Monitor project costs, development expenses, collections, commissions, and profitability. - Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of property sales, customer collections, broker commissions, and supplier payments. - Maintain strong internal financial controls and ensure proper approval processes. - Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, IFRS, and other applicable regulatory requirements. - Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities. - Manage month-end and year-end closing processes within agreed timelines. - Monitor receivables, payables, liquidity, and outstanding financial obligations. - Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management for business decisions. - Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, reporting systems, and financial controls. - Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness across all accounting activities. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA, ACCA, CMA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred. - Minimum 10 to 14 years of accounting and finance experience, including leadership experience. - Strong experience within the UAE real estate/development sector preferred. - Excellent knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, IFRS, financial reporting, and audit requirements. - Strong command of accounting/ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel. - Strong leadership, analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills. - High level of accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
