Director of Injection Molding

Job Description : Director of Injection Molding & Manufacturing Operations in Northern Illinois. USA This is a unique succession opportunity with a longstanding, family-owned custom injection molding company. A highly respected technical and manufacturing leader is preparing for retirement after more than 40 years, and the company is being thoughtful about bringing someone in with enough overlap for meaningful knowledge transfer. I’m looking for someone who really knows molding. Processing, tooling, new mold sampling and launches, materials, troubleshooting, quality, continuous improvement, and the day-to-day realities of running a high-mix molding operation. You do not need to already have a Director title. I’m equally interested in strong Molding Managers, Process Managers, Manufacturing Managers, Engineering/Tooling leaders, or Plant Managers who have spent their careers close to the floor and have an interest in leading and developing people in a company where culture is a priority. Around 20 presses, 50 to 1000 tons, three shifts, with frequent mold, material, and color changes. Relocation assistance is available. It is a fully onsite position.
