Group Chief Operating

Job Description : Group Chief Operating Officer, for a leading international mining group. This is a major operational leadership mandate across African mining operations employing approximately 3,000 people, with direct exposure to the Group CEO and Board. We are looking for a seasoned mining operator and turnaround leader with: • 15+ years of senior mining experience • Proven large-scale operational leadership • A strong track record in turnaround and performance improvement • Significant P&L and budget responsibility • Strong African mining exposure • Experience leading large workforces and senior operational teams • Proven alluvial deposit experience Open-pit mining experience is strongly preferred. We will consider experienced COOs, Managing Directors, Country MDs, Divisional COOs and exceptional senior General Managers who are genuinely ready to step into a Group COO mandate. This is not a corporate oversight role. It is an opportunity to turn around a complex operation, strengthen operational discipline, leave a visible legacy and materially influence the future of an international mining group. The role requires extensive travel into Africa, approximately 60%+. Lucrative Executive Package.
