Head of Construction

Job Description : Head of Construction Job location: Oman – Sohar Contract Duration: 3 yrs. Salary & Benefits: Excellent day rate with monthly living allowances Minimum Qualification & Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering. Minimum 10 years of experience in large-scale Oil & Gas projects in construction-related disciplines such as construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion and hook-up. Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles or oversight of service/vendor personnel. Good knowledge of Project Execution procedures, field management and construction techniques, including fabrication, welding, lifting, mechanical testing and completions. Experience with Oil & Gas operating companies, EPC contractors, service companies or heavy construction companies. Strong knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes and applicable safety criteria related to major fabrication, transportation, installation, brownfield execution and hook-up. Experience/exposure to offshore facilities and structures, onshore facilities and/or yard operations. Knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with LNG and sour gas production facilities. Experience in fabrication execution, including planning and execution of fabrication activities through load-out. Experience supervising and controlling Contractor/Subcontractor activities related to topsides fabrication and Mechanical Completion. Strong experience in constructability, technical compliance, progress monitoring and quality control. Experience coordinating with Contractors/Subcontractors for Mechanical Completion, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning activities. Strong ability to manage interfaces between Company, Contractor and Engineering teams and drive issue resolution. Experience with Risk Assessments, Pre-Job Meetings and technical meetings. Experience working within large-scale operating/project organizations.
