Job Description : VICE PRESIDENT – PLANT OPERATIONS / PLANT HEAD WESTERN AFRICA We are hiring for a reputed client in the PET Packaging / Rigid Plastic Manufacturing Industry. ???? About the Role We are looking for an experienced and technically strong VP – Plant Operations / Plant Head to lead and drive performance across multiple manufacturing plants involved in the production of PET Preforms and PET Jars/Containers. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on technical expertise in PET processing, injection moulding machines, and multi-plant operations, along with proven leadership capabilities. ???? Key Responsibilities ? Lead and manage multiple manufacturing plants across Production, Maintenance, Quality, PPC, Engineering, and Operations. ? Drive production efficiency, capacity utilization, OEE, productivity, cycle-time improvement, and cost optimization. ? Manage PET Preform manufacturing operations, including injection moulding, PET resin drying/dehumidification, moulding parameters, hot runner systems, and mould-related processes. ? Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of injection moulding machines, moulds, dryers, chillers, compressors, and other plant utilities. ? Improve OEE, reduce rejection levels, optimize material and energy consumption, and control manufacturing costs. ? Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives. ? Establish plant-wise KPIs, MIS, dashboards, and performance review mechanisms. ? Lead CAPEX planning, machinery selection, installation, commissioning, and capacity expansion projects. ? Ensure compliance with quality, EHS, statutory, and operational safety requirements. ???? Candidate Profile ?? 15+ years of experience in PET Packaging / Rigid Plastic / Polymer Manufacturing ?? Strong experience in PET Preforms and/or PET Jars & Containers ?? Strong technical knowledge of PET Injection Moulding Machines is mandatory ?? Proven experience in multi-plant / multi-location manufacturing operations ?? Strong understanding of Production, Maintenance, Quality, PPC, and Plant Engineering ?? Knowledge of ISBM / Injection Stretch Blow Moulding will be preferred ?? Strong leadership, team management, and cost optimization capabilities
