General Manager

Job Description : General Manager Transport and Logistics - Harare Oxford Recruitment has been exclusively retained by a well-established transport and logistics sector to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced senior executive with a strong background in the transport operating/haulage industry, preferably with experience managing a sizeable fleet and overseeing both operational and commercial aspects of a transport business. The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements: Qualifications and Experience A bachelor’s degree in Transport & Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management or related field. A master’s degree/MBA or relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage. At least 10-15 years’ experience in the transport, logistics or haulage industry. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior management position, preferably at General Manager or equivalent level. Proven experience in managing transport operations and fleet performance Experience in local and cross border transport operations will be an added advantage. Knowledge of transport legislation, road safety, health and safety and regulatory compliance Excellent negotiation and communication skills Ability to manage performance, accountability and operational discipline. Strong analytical skills, with ability to use operational and financial data to drive decisions. A competitive executive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate.
