Job Description : PLANT HEAD FORGING Company: Star Steel Limited Location: Ghana, Africa Position: Plant Head Forging Industry: Steel Manufacturing Qualification: B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical / Production / Metallurgical Engineering (Mandatory) Experience: 07 -12 years of relevant experience in Steel Forging / Heavy Engineering / Manufacturing, including strong experience in managing complete plant operations. Key Skills & Experience • Hands-on experience in Forging Plant Operations • Knowledge of Forging Presses, Hammers & Forging Processes • Strong knowledge of Die & Tooling Development • Heat Treatment & Process Control • Production Planning & Productivity Improvement • Quality Control & Process Improvement • Plant Maintenance & Equipment Reliability • Cost Control & Operational Efficiency • Safety, 5S & Statutory Compliance • Manpower & Team Management Key Responsibilities • Manage complete forging plant operations from production to dispatch. • Achieve production, quality, cost and delivery targets. • Optimize manpower, machinery and production processes. • Drive productivity improvement and reduce rejection/rework. • Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, PPC and Stores teams. • Ensure plant safety, discipline and statutory compliance. • Lead and develop the plant team for continuous improvement. Mandatory Requirement: Strong hands-on experience in Steel Forging Plant Operations with proven plant leadership experience.
