Head of Operations

Job Description : Head of Operations Location: Ghana Industry preferred: Steel/ Metal Manufacturing We are seeking an experienced Head of Operations to lead and oversee plant operations for an integrated steel manufacturing facility. Key Requirements: • 15+ years of experience, with significant experience in senior operational leadership • Strong experience in steel manufacturing is mandatory. • Prior leadership experience within an integrated steel plant • Proven experience overseeing multiple operational functions, including Production, Plant Maintenance, Scrap Processing, Logistics, HSE and Stores • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain, procurement and production planning • Experience in budgeting, cost control, process improvement and operational excellence • Strong leadership, people management and stakeholder management skills • Experience developing and implementing SOPs, controls and compliance processes • MBA is essential • Fluent in English ???? Key Responsibilities: The Head of Operations will be responsible for: ??Leading overall plant operations and driving operational efficiency ??Developing and executing business plans, budgets and growth strategies ??Overseeing production, maintenance, logistics, procurement, HSE, stores and scrap processing ??Driving continuous improvement, productivity and cost competitiveness ??Monitoring operational performance and implementing corrective actions ??Ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory and internal requirements ??Leading and developing operational teams and department heads ??Strengthening processes, SOPs, internal controls and risk management ??Supporting supply chain, production planning and delivery performance ??Driving initiatives that improve profitability and operational excellence
