Head of Accounts

Job Description : Head of Accounts Lagos, Nigeria We are looking for an experienced Head of Accounts to lead financial planning, reporting, audit, compliance, credit control, inventory controls and overall accounting operations. Location: Lagos, Nigeria Experience: Senior-level finance & accounts experience Requirement: Nigerian market experience is mandatory Age: Up to 35 years Head of Accounts Key Requirements • Experience: Senior-level finance & accounting professional with strong experience in financial planning, reporting, audit, controls and statutory compliance. • Age: Up to 35 years • Core Expertise: Financial forecasting, budgeting, management accounts, cash flow, variance analysis and financial reporting. • Audit & Compliance: Statutory audits, internal audits, IFRS, financial policies and statutory compliance. • Credit Control: Credit management, receivables, ageing analysis, collections, doubtful debts and customer balance confirmations. • Inventory & Logistics: Stock reconciliation, inventory planning, stock audits, insurance, near-expiry/discontinued stock and warehouse management. • Fleet/Cost Control: Vehicle expenses, fuel efficiency, repairs, CAPEX planning and fleet-related cost management. • Team Management: Lead and develop the accounts team, conduct performance reviews and identify training needs. • Systems: Experience with NAV/ERP systems and financial reporting tools. • Stakeholder Management: Coordination with auditors, statutory authorities, management, branches, credit control and other departments. • Reporting: Weekly cash flow, budget vs. actuals, branch stock reports, management accounts and annual financial statements. Ideal candidate: A hands-on Finance/Accounts leader who can manage accounting + audit + statutory compliance + credit control + inventory/stock controls + financial planning, while leading a distributed accounts team.
