Job Description : GROUP HEAD OF HUMAN RESOURCES Location: Abuja, Nigeria Employment Type: Full-Time Reports to: Managing Director / CEO We are seeking an exceptionally experienced Group Head of Human Resources to provide strategic leadership and overall oversight of the Group’s HR function. This is not a conventional HR Manager role. We are looking for a senior HR leader who can build stronger organisational structures, establish effective HR systems, drive accountability and performance, and serve as a trusted adviser to senior management. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and provide strategic direction to the Group HR function • Oversee and provide direction to HR Managers and HR teams • Develop and strengthen HR policies, systems and processes • Drive organisational structure, workforce planning and succession planning • Oversee recruitment, talent development and retention • Establish and drive Group-wide performance management and accountability • Lead employee relations and workplace effectiveness • Ensure compliance with Nigerian employment and labour requirements • Provide strategic HR advice to the MD/CEO and senior management What We're Looking For: • 10+ years of progressive HR experience • Proven experience as a Head of HR or leader of an entire HR function • Experience managing HR Managers and HR teams • Strong background in Organisation Development, Workforce Planning, Performance Management and Employee Relations • Strong knowledge of Nigerian employment and labour laws • Relevant academic qualifications and professional HR certifications • Strong leadership, communication, decision-making and organisational skills • Ability to build structure, enforce accountability and lead HR transformation • Currently based in Lagos and willing to permanently relocate to Abuja What Success Looks Like: You will help build a more structured, disciplined and professionally managed organisation, with stronger HR systems, clearer accountability, improved employee performance and a people strategy aligned with business growth.
