Distribution Center Manager

Job Description : Distribution Center Manager Job Location: Conakry, Guinea About the Role: The Distribution Center Manager will oversee all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods to ensure accuracy and efficiency in heavily automated warehouses with high capacity and pallet throughput. Key responsibilities: • Operational Oversight: Manage daily activities of the distribution center, including loading/unloading, inventory management, and storage procedures, material handling maintenance. • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory levels to prevent understocking or overstocking and perform audits. • Logistics & Distribution: Coordinate shipping and receiving, and manage transportation logistics to ensure on-time delivery. • Team Leadership: Hire, train, schedule, and motivate warehouse staff to meet performance goals. • Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a secure working environment. • Data Analysis: Use the Information system structure to track metrics, such as order fulfilment rates accuracy, employee productivity, inventory turnover and accuracy, and safety incident rates Key Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business • Several years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management. • Strong experience in automated/ advanced warehouse systems. • Proven ability to manage warehouse teams and improve performance. • Proficiency with WMS, ASRS, and data analysis software. • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. • Fluency in French language is preferred
