Job Description : SITE MANAGER – MINES Mining & Logistics Sector | Onsite – Bulyanhulu, Tanzania a well-established organisation operating in the mining and logistics sector is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Site Manager – Mines to lead and coordinate its onsite operations in Bulyanhulu. This is a fully onsite position requiring strong experience in mining, logistics, supply chain, distribution and site operations, together with proven leadership and client-management capabilities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead and oversee day-to-day onsite mining and logistics operations. • Manage the delivery and distribution of bulk products including fuel, cement etc • Serve as the primary onsite contact for the client, maintaining strong relationships • Coordinate daily activities with the client, subcontractors and internal teams. • Ensure efficient loading, offloading, truck turnaround and distribution operations. • Monitor and achieve agreed client KPIs and service standards. • Coordinate site manpower, resources, rotations and operational continuity. • Lead and develop the onsite team, ensuring compliance with company and client requirements. • Ensure strict compliance with QHSE standards, SOPs and operational controls. • Oversee company assets, equipment, certifications, maintenance and legal documentation. • Identify operational risks and promptly escalate issues that may affect service delivery. • Maintain effective relationships with relevant client representatives and government authorities • Support business development, cost control and continuous improvement initiatives. REQUIREMENTS • Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in the mining and logistics sector particularly in logistics, supply chain, procurement, distribution, operations or site management. • Proven experience managing onsite operations within a mining environment. • Experience working with major mining clients will be an advantage. • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations, Mining, Engineering or a related field. • Postgraduate qualification is an added advantage. • Strong knowledge of mining equipment, spares and logistics operations. • Demonstrated leadership and people-management experience. • Strong understanding of QHSE requirements and operational controls. • Excellent communication, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong commercial, budgeting and cost-management capabilities. • Ability to work effectively in a demanding, fast-paced mining-site environment. Important: This is an onsite mining position in Bulyanhulu. Candidates should have relevant experience working in a mining-site environment and be prepared to work at the site.
