Job Description : HEAD OF LOGISTICS & INTERNATIONAL TRADE | ZANZIBAR We are looking for an experienced Head of Logistics & International Trade to manage and coordinate our international logistics and trade operations for our large-scale construction projects in Zanzibar. Key Responsibilities & Qualifications • University degree • Minimum 10 years of comprehensive experience in international logistics, import, export and international trade operations. • Strong command of customs clearance and transit procedures, including relevant regulations and operational requirements. • Extensive experience in road, sea and air freight, including multimodal transportation operations. • Advanced knowledge of international trade documentation, shipping documents and Incoterms. • Strong experience in managing and coordinating freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers and international transport companies. • Solid knowledge and experience in banking processes related to international trade and cross-border payments. • Proven ability to manage international shipments end-to-end, from origin through customs and transit processes to final delivery. • Experience in monitoring and optimizing transit times, logistics costs and operational risks. • Preferably experienced in large-scale international construction projects. • Preferably experienced in international logistics, import and export operations with the Middle East, Africa and Far East markets. • Excellent command of English is essential. • Strong teamwork and time-management skills. • Highly detail-oriented, careful and disciplined, with strong follow-up and organizational skills. • A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate potential risks and take timely action rather than reacting after issues arise.
