Job Description : HEAD MINE PLANNING AND OPERATIONS NIGERIA 20+ years experience Develop and implement short-term, medium-term, and long-term mine plans in line with production and operational targets. Lead mine planning and scheduling, including pit design, production planning, sequencing, and resource optimization. Ensure efficient and safe iron ore mining operations while achieving production and quality targets. Plan and optimize drilling and blasting operations, including blast design, fragmentation, and control of ground vibration. Monitor and improve drilling and blasting parameters to enhance productivity and reduce operating costs. Coordinate with geology, mining operations, production, HSE, and other stakeholders for effective execution of mine plans. Ensure compliance with applicable statutory, environmental, safety, and mining regulations. Analyze mine performance, identify operational bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures. Optimize utilization of mining equipment, manpower, and other resources. Prepare and review mine plans, budgets, production forecasts, and operational reports. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost optimization, mine safety, and resource recovery. Lead and mentor the mine planning and operations team.
