ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Job Description : ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE MANAGER EAST AFRICA 15+ years experience Develop and implement electrical maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability, plant availability, and operational efficiency. Manage preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems across Cold Rolling Mill, Metal Coating Line, and Color coating line. Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, transformers, switchgear, electrical panels, VFDs, PLCs, and power distribution systems. Plan and execute routine maintenance, major shutdowns, equipment overhauling, and asset renewal. Ensure timely availability of critical spares, optimize maintenance costs, and monitor maintenance budgets. Coordinate with production, mechanical maintenance, and EHS teams to minimize downtime and ensure smooth plant operations. Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, maintenance procedures, and statutory requirements. Drive continuous improvement, energy conservation, and equipment reliability initiatives. Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, and technical documentation while managing maintenance personnel. Requirements Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Relevant experience in electrical maintenance within the steel, metals, or manufacturing industry. Hands-on experience in Cold Rolling Mill, Metal Coating Line, and Color coating line, rolling mills, or similar continuous-process production lines. Strong knowledge of HT/LT systems, motors, transformers, switchgear, PLCs, VFDs, and electrical troubleshooting. Experience in preventive maintenance, breakdown analysis, shutdown planning, and maintenance cost control.
