SUPPLY CHAIN HEAD

Job Description : SUPPLY CHAIN HEAD EAST AFRICA ( TANZANIA/UGANDAA) 18+ years experience Key Responsibilities Lead overall supply chain strategy, including procurement, demand planning, inventory management, warehousing and logistics. Manage import and export logistics, shipment tracking, customs clearance and vendor coordination. Drive strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract management and cost optimization. Oversee raw material, consumables and finished goods inventory management. Develop demand forecasting, material planning and production scheduling processes. Coordinate with Sales, Production, Finance and other departments to ensure timely material availability and customer deliveries. Monitor supply chain KPIs, optimize inventory levels and improve operational efficiency. Manage and develop teams across Procurement, Logistics, Planning and Stores. Ensure compliance with import regulations, customs requirements, safety standards and company policies. Drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes, service levels and cost control. Candidate Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a relevant discipline. Experience: Minimum 15 years of overall experience, including at least 8 years in a relevant supply chain role. Industry: Manufacturing experience is mandatory. Strong expertise in strategic procurement, international logistics, inventory management, demand planning and vendor management. Experience with SAP/ERP systems and MS Office. Excellent leadership, analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills in English and Kiswahili. Additional qualifications such as a Master's degree, CIPS or CSPSP Level 5 are advantageous.
