POWER PLANT HEAD

Job Description : POWER PLANT HEAD IBESE NIGERIA • Direct power plant operations and maintenance in line with approved manuals and company standards. • Ensure reliable power generation and supply based on cement production requirements. • Manage gas supply and related contracts with NGML. • Oversee long-term service agreements with gas turbine generator OEMs. • Lead environmental management and compliance activities. • Oversee procurement of spare parts, equipment, and plant requirements within approved budgets. • Drive plans aimed at improving plant performance. • Coordinate maintenance planning and execution. • Maintain occupational health and safety standards across the Power Plant. • Lead staff training and development. • Monitor Power Plant expenditure against approved budgets. • Verify and certify gas bills. • Carry out other duties assigned by the Plant Director. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering with Power option, or a relevant equivalent qualification. • Minimum of 20 years of demonstrated operating experience in gas turbine-based power plants. • At least 5 years of experience as Head of Power Plant. • Proven experience operating gas turbine power generation plants with strong output, availability, and efficiency. • Strong understanding of Power Plant O&M costs, contract management, budgeting, and operating cost control. • Strong leadership and management skills. • Good data gathering and analysis skills. • Strong problem analysis and problem-solving ability. • Creative and practical approach to problem solving. • Good commercial acumen.
