Job Description : Head of Feed Mill Operations Location: Nigeria Experience: Minimum 15+ years in the animal feed industry Qualification: DVM, BVSc, or equivalent recognised veterinary qualification Job Summary BUA Group is seeking an experienced Veterinary Doctor with strong expertise in commercial feed mill operations, animal nutrition, and feed formulation to support the establishment and lead the technical operations of its proposed feed mill in Nigeria. Key Responsibilities • Oversee feed mill installation, commissioning, trial production, and operational setup for the Greenfield Project. • Oversee feed mill technical operations, production processes, and operational efficiency. • Develop and optimise least-cost feed formulations for poultry and livestock while maintaining nutritional quality. • Evaluate raw materials, including maize, soybean meal, and other feed ingredients, for quality and nutritional value. • Establish and monitor quality control, feed safety, and food/feed hygiene standards. • Ensure compliance with applicable Nigerian feed industry regulations and quality standards. • Lead technical teams and collaborate with procurement, production, engineering, and commercial departments. • Monitor production costs, minimise wastage, resolve technical issues, and improve overall plant performance. Qualifications & Experience • Veterinary degree (DVM/BVSc or equivalent). • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including substantial hands-on experience in commercial feed mill operations. • Strong expertise in animal nutrition, feed formulation, raw material evaluation, and feed manufacturing processes. • Experience in feed mill commissioning, quality assurance, and technical team management is highly desirable.
