The candidate will be responsible for overall business operations, profitability, government liaison, administration, and business growth. Key Responsibilities Business Setup: Establish and develop the business operations in Nigeria, including processes, systems, and operational infrastructure. P&L Management: Take complete ownership of profit and loss, budgeting, cost control, cash flow, and profitability. Chemical Trading: Manage the import of chemical raw materials from the UAE, including procurement coordination, shipping, customs clearance, inventory, and distribution. Business Development: Develop new customers, distributors, and business opportunities across relevant industrial sectors. Government Liaison: Manage relationships with government authorities and regulatory bodies, ensuring all statutory requirements, permits, and licenses are fulfilled. Operations & Administration: Oversee daily operations, logistics, warehousing, administration, and resource management. Team Management: Recruit, build, and lead the local team, establishing performance standards and accountability. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with Nigerian import regulations, chemical handling requirements, taxation, and other applicable laws. Strategic Planning: Develop business strategies to increase market share, revenue, and long-term profitability. Candidate Requirements Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience, preferably in chemical trading and distribution. Proven experience in independently managing a business unit, country operations, or a trading company. Strong experience in P&L management, commercial operations, and business development. Hands-on exposure to chemical imports, international trade, logistics, and customs procedures. Experience dealing with government authorities and managing regulatory matters in Nigeria. Strong understanding of the Nigerian market and established local business networks. Experience setting up business operations from scratch and building a team. Excellent leadership, negotiation, decision-making, and financial management skills.
