Job Description : LEAD – TECHNICAL SERVICES (COPPER MINING) ???? Location: Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) We are looking for an experienced Technical Services professional to lead resource management, mine planning, and project development for a Greenfield Copper Mining Project. Key Responsibilities Lead Mineral Resource Estimation (MRE), Ore Reserve development, and geological modelling. Oversee pit optimization, mine design, production scheduling, and Life-of-Mine (LoM) planning. Drive technical studies, including Scoping Studies, PFS, and DFS. Support resource conversion, mine-to-mill integration, and project development. Ensure compliance with international reporting standards, including JORC and NI 43-101. Lead multidisciplinary technical teams and coordinate mine development activities. Candidate Requirements Degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification preferred. 20–30 years of relevant Technical Services experience in copper mining projects. Proven expertise in resource estimation, mine planning, geological modelling, and project evaluation. Proficiency in Datamine, Surpac, Leapfrog, Deswik, Whittle, or equivalent software. Experience in Greenfield copper projects, large-scale open-pit operations, and feasibility studies. Experience in the African Copperbelt, particularly DRC or Zambia, will be preferred.
