Job Description : Lead – Contracts & Procurement (Iron Ore Mining) Work Location: Lagos, Nigeria We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts and Procurement professional to Lead our Procurement strategy and contract management for a large-scale greenfield iron ore mining and mineral processing project located across west Africa. Key Responsibilities *Lead end-to-end procurement, tendering, bid evaluation, negotiations, and contract awards. *Manage EPC/EPCM, engineering, construction, equipment, and service contracts. *Drive global sourcing, vendor development, cost optimization, and supplier performance. *Oversee contract execution, logistics, claims, variations, and commercial risk management. *Collaborate with engineering, mining operations, construction, finance, and project teams. *Lead the procurement team while ensuring compliance with contractual and governance requirements. Requirements *Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Mining, Metallurgical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering. *20–30 years of relevant experience in iron ore mining, mineral processing, steel, DRI, or heavy industrial projects. *Proven experience in large-scale greenfield projects and international EPC/EPCM contracts. *Strong knowledge of FIDIC or equivalent contract frameworks, global sourcing, and import/export regulations. *Excellent commercial, negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. *CIPS, WorldCC/IACCM, or PMP certification will be an advantage.
