Job Description : General Manager - Operations Business - Edible Oil manufacturing facility Location: East Africa Experience Required: 15-20 years with 5-8 years in the capacity of Plant Head driving operations and P&L of a 250-500 TPD capacity Edible Oil plant. 15+ years of hands-on experience in Edible Oil Refinery amp; Extraction plants (specifically processing Soya, Sunflower and Palm oil). Education: BE or ME (Chemical/Mechanical) Reporting To: CEO Compensation: Salary in USD on monthly basis (will be discussed in person). 30 days paid leave annually. IMPORTANT - The role will hold full P&L (Profit & Loss Account) and operational accountability for our high-capacity, automated edible oil & refining processing facility. This role requires an aggressive, results-driven leader capable of managing efficient production cycles, maximizing asset utilization, ensuring stringent safety standards and leading a diverse, multicultural workforce. Technical & Operational Landscape The successful candidate will manage a highly automated facility utilizing world-class industrial machinery, featuring: - Refinery Unit: Alfa Laval Physical Refinery | 250 TPD (Tons Per Day) Capacity - Boiler Unit: Thermax Coal-Fed Boiler | 8 TPH (Tons Per Hour) Capacity - Packaging Unit: Fully integrated Injection & Blow Moulding line for in-house PET bottle production. Key Responsibilities 1. Operational Leadership & Strategy 2. Assume end-to-end P&L accountability for the entire manufacturing facility, optimizing operational costs, yield efficiencies, and material variances. 3. Streamline production schedules for multi-seed extraction and refining processing lines (Soya, Sunflower, and Palm oil). 4. Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean principles across the plant floor to minimize downtime and maximize throughput. 5. Complete mastery over physical and chemical refining cycles, industrial boiler safety, and automated PET packaging/molding lines. 6. Should have exposure to Lean Six Sigma/TPM/TQM practices that he could implement on ground.
