Mine Manager

Job Description : Mine Manager (The DRC, open pit) We are looking for an experienced mine manager to lead an open pit mining operation in The DRC. Lead mine planning and safe production across the project sites. The Mine Manager will turn geological and survey information into practical mining plans, then hold mining and haulage contractors accountable for delivery, cost and operating discipline. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Direct mining, drilling, blasting, loading and haulage contractors; agree targets, measure output and enforce performance standards. Supervise stripping, ore movement, dilution, ore loss, dewatering, pit access, road condition and safe working areas. Maintain strong HSE, statutory and site standards, with accurate daily, weekly and monthly production reporting. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Qualification from a recognised educational mining institution. Minimum 10 years open pit mining experience, including at least 5 years in a senior production or mine management role. Strong mine planning, production control and cost management capability; competent with recognised mine planning software. The position is site based, and the rotation for this position is 8/2.
