20 yearsJob Description : GM UAE NICO International is one of the leading Ship Repair & industrial engineering company operating in the Arabian Gulf for more than 47 years and offers a full range of marine & industrial engineering services. Job Responsibilities: · Must ensure the development and implementation of a clear strategic plan for an organization or business unit. · Lead entire business units or divisions of an organization. · Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction · Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure operational efficiencies and performances across the organization · Develop strong internal controls and policy framework · Provide support during the preparation of business plans and yearly business target agreements in close coordination with all Business Units heads · Provide support in the preparation of the Critical Bid Approval Form and Large Project Application · Implement operational best practices · Optimize the market position of the company in the UAE and GCC markets. · Assist Director in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives · Manage and optimize the profitability of the division. · Continuously improve risk management programs and procedures. · Ensure customer satisfaction and drive customer loyalty. · Ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency through optimal processes. · Ensure employees are motivated, loyal, appropriately compensated, and have the required skill level. · Lead the business planning process and ensure timely implementation of the annual business plan through operational systems and procedures. · Give strategic direction and hands-on leadership to the management team to drive commercial growth. · Ensure the financial viability and cost structure are regularly analyzed and appropriate measures are taken to monitor and reduce costs in relation to the operations. · Ensure decisions of the Management Committee are communicated to all levels of the organization and are implemented. · Chair weekly/monthly HOD Team Meetings to ensure close operational management of all activities. · Monitor the sales budget progress and report on business development plans/activities. · Manage staff motivation programs leading to increase productivity, loyalty, and retention. · Ensure accurate manpower planning, including recruitment administration and proactive coordination with support functions. · Must be able to support the development of a healthy internal culture that retains key employees and encourages their professional development. · Continuously ensure and monitor the adherence to the Approval Matrix and other rules and regulations · Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations Minimum Qualifications: University degree, MBA a plus. Minimum Experience: · 20 plus years post qualification experience in Ship Repair or Marine industry. · 3 years of experience must have been served in a GM position within a relevant sized organization. Job-Specific Skills: · Solid techno-commercial skills, excellent management skills including manpower and scenario analysis, budget, planning, and forecast experience, significant experience in risk management, and a solid understanding of the business or demonstrated learning agility are required. Operational experience is very desirable. · Demonstrated history of thoughtful risk-taking, business acumen, thought leadership, commitment, and a strong sense of urgency · Executive presence; ability to influence others and intellectual horsepower
