Job Description : SENIOR PURCHASE MANAGER CHINA FOR AGRO CHEMICALS Roles & Responsibilities Vendor Management. Product sourcing. (Agrochemical related products) Market and product information gathering. Price trends analysis for strategic decision-making. Quality Control & Inspection. New supplier development, key manufacturer identification & competitor investigation. SWOT Evaluation for all the suppliers with respect to the products specialty to achieve economies of scale. Market dynamics follow-up, full supply-chain of each product to be analysed. Regular travelling for supplier visit, information gathering and quality control. Liaison with the inspection companies to ensure the inspection norms are followed and regulatory compliances are being adhered to. Coordination with the Head Office for product and market development strategies. Negotiate and Monitor procurement activities independently. Good contacts across the chemical Industry with specialty chemicals and Agro chemicals. Experience, Qualifications & Skills 7+ years of experience in the procurement of agricultural inputs. Advanced knowledge of the agricultural inputs industry in China Academic knowledge of Agriculture and agricultural inputs. Should speak, read & write - English & Mandarin. Knowledge of full production & supply-chain of agricultural inputs. Knowledge of Standard Quality control & Inspection of agricultural inputs. Honesty, Integrity and mutual respect of colleagues and reporting managers is necessary. Active responsiveness to work and problem-solving capabilities. Basic IT knowledge for analysis, emailing & reporting.
