Transport Manager

Job Description : TRANSPORT MANAGER TANZANIA o Responsible for transport operations, maintenance, safety, equipment, and personnel management o Full responsibility for fleet and equipment maintenance and the mechanical workshops o Efficiently manage the company’s fleet of trucks and uninterrupted supply to meet customers’ demands at all times o Optimise expenses and maximize equipment availability and utilization o Ensure profitability by controlling costs o Ensure trucks, trailers and equipment availability o Ensure a quicker turnaround of the company’s fleet. o Monitor the procurement of trucks o Minimize downtime of the company fleet. o Ensure fleet registration, documentation, and updating of drivers’ license o Review the performance of the transport department Desired Skills and Experience o Bachelor's degree from a reputable University o Minimum of 10 year Transport Management experience of a large fleet and associated equipments o Knowledge of supply chain core processes and logistics business o Customer service oriented o Good supervisory and people management skills o Organizing and planning skills
