Export Sales Director

Job Description : EXPORT SALES DIRECTOR MIDDLE EAST OUT OF DUBAI The Export Sales Director will be responsible for generating new business, further developing existing client relationships and developing and executing sales plans across the Middle East and other export markets. The Export Manager will work closely with the executive team to ensure commercial decisions approved by the board are supported and implemented on the ground. The ideal candidate will have proven experience within the meat industry in business development or key account management, strong ability to develop and maintain client relationships, and strong passion to bring value to clients and help them succeed. Responsibilities: Market analysis, planning and strategy: Develop deep understanding of the clients business, brand, products, and operations Perform detailed market analyses to understand positioning of the client in the competitive landscape, opportunities expansion into new products/channels/clients/geographies Monitor and evaluate activities and products of competition Develop new or adjust existing business plans to achieve their export sales objectives Develop, together with the company, a detailed approach to business development, product development, sales execution, client relationship management (as well as required human and financial resources) to achieve the business plan Develop market entry strategies for new markets outside the GCC Contribute to the development of an effective export sales organisation capable of executing export ambitions consistently Business development, product development and sales execution: Develop detailed mapping of potential clients for the client’s products Outline a customer acquisition strategy to methodically recruit new clients Attend trade shows and exhibitions to present and explain products and capabilities Work with internal teams (e.g. production department) to develop products and strategies to attract new clients based on market knowledge and client/consumer insights Execute sales to client including, as required, taking orders, submitting orders, following up on fulfilment and delivery Client relationship management: Schedule meetings and visit clients and potential clients regularly to build and promote a strong relationship between clients and the company Develop an intimate understanding of the client business and potential needs Regularly perform analysis to understand areas to increase share of wallet Develop with client business plans and incentive plans to set sales targets and drive growth Manage communication and relationship between client and internal teams to ensure optimal service delivery to the client Advise the client on health of different relationships to proactively address any issues Analyses, reporting and communication: Develop key reporting tools and templates (e.g. competitive developments, client meeting notes, work plans) to assist with execution and management of the export sales function Regularly submit such activity and result reports to the company Present key developments and suggestions for changes in tactics or strategy, as needed Interface and communicate with other departments as the role requires Skills and Background: Education and skills: Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, sales, or relevant field Language skills: Excellent command of oral and written Arabic and English Background and professional experience: The ideal candidate will be from a meat importing company in or meat supplier to the GCC 5+ years’ experience in sales, marketing, management, key account management or relevant position in the meat industry, dealing with importers, hotels, restaurants, caterers, supermarkets, butcheries and other clients Strong knowledge of meat specifications and cuts Strong understanding of country/market requirements for meat imports into the GCC Excellent knowledge of the meat importation process in the GCC Excellent existing relationships with customers Proven track record in meat sales and delivering client solutions
