Regional Cheif Financial Officer 
15 yearsJob Description : REGIONAL CFO UAE The overall purpose of the Regional CFO Middle East is to provide leadership and being a reliable source of guidance and support on financial information and business performance while remaining in close touch with what’s happening in the day-to-day operations of the region. In addition, the role is responsible for ensuring that the financial infrastructure, practices, resources, and capabilities are in place to deliver high-quality support to the business. The region includes a mix of fully owned companies, joint ventures and associate entities that, in coordination with the Regional GM of Middle East, need to be managed tactfully. The role will also be accountable for developing and maintaining partnerships with local partners, government authorities, banking institutions, service providers, and various Joint Ventures. Strategy and Direction · Develop financial strategies that are aligned with the overarching business objectives; · Analyze and make recommendations on financial initiatives and planning that support the growth opportunities across the region; · Act as a strategic partner to the business by ensuring a collective and inclusive approach supporting the region and countries. · Communicate the financial strategy and direction across the organization and provide a synchronized approach in delivering the roadmap across all countries in the region; · Establish a robust financial framework and allocate resources and capabilities to drive the growth agenda. · Support the Middle East Regional GM in growing and expanding the region across various business sectors and geographies. Leadership and Management · As part of the Regional Leadership Team, display financial thinking and leadership. Through a proactive interest in cross-functional work, drive business objectives across all countries in the region; · Develop performance metrics and indicators with a specific focus on sales and commercial functions; · Build a high-performance environment by developing key metrics to monitor and track business objectives. · Drive business performance evaluation. · Financial staff management, motivation, training, recruitment and selection to establish a finance function that is able to operate at the highest level of performance. Joint Ventures & Partnerships · Manage strategic partnerships and partner with the RGM of ME to ensure the financial and operational success · Develop and maintain a strong partnership with legal and JV partners; · Maintain close contact and relationship with key government agencies that facilitate business across the region; · Manage relevant cost-center budgets and continue to improve the cost-effectiveness of partnership management. · Support the Joint Ventures in preparing financials, budgets and working capital management. Financial Management · Provide financial information and expertise to inform and challenge the regional strategy and target recommendations; · Deliver and communicate a detailed understanding of the consolidated financials and business decisions to Group HQ Finance teams; · Work with Country Finance Managers to ensure financial and accounting policies and processes are adhered to; · Oversee audit requirements as per company policy; · Prepare consolidated budgets and cost analysis; · Facilitate the understanding of historical, current, and forecasting of financial performance; · Drive continuous productivity improvements and standardization; · Supervise and develop the regional finance teams. Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance · Keep abreast of relevant regulatory changes in the region and inform Group of necessary action to meet regulatory requirements; · Ensure the delivery of compliance control as per standards; · Work closely with legal to address legislative and regulatory liabilities; · Continually assess future business ventures to identify possible legal, regulatory, and compliance risks. · Ensure tax throughout the region are properly managed, optimised and ensure compliance to various country requirements. Required Skills and Competencies · Leadership and people management skills. Strong track record in recruiting staff, upgrading organizations, motivating people, and dealing with performance issues; · Strategic but with strong operational skills. A “doer” and hands-on leader who likes to “roll the sleeves up” and get things done, as well as drive strategy; · Networking skills. Ability to collaborate, co-operate, and network effectively within a demanding, culturally diverse, matrix organization · Entrepreneurial. Required Work Experience · Significant (15+ years) public and/or private accounting experience; · In-depth experience of operating in the Middle East; · At a minimum, has worked as part of a very large, highly complex Regional organization across multiple Middle East Countries; · Has managed a business size of approx. USD200M+ turnover for an international group; · Has previously been part of a global or regional leadership team; · Has a personal track record of success in building teams and change-management of functional improvement projects; · Has worked in complex, matrix-based organizations with multiple stakeholders; · Familiarity with complex Middle East operating parameters – tax, cash extraction, governance, risk management; Required Qualifications · Postgraduate in Business or Management Sciences is essential Required Languages · Fluent English Travel / Rotation Requirements · Extensive travel will be required
