Assistant General Manager

Job Description : AGM OPERATIONS DUBAI Landmark Leisure (Jumble) are looking to welcome a Senior Team member who will be responsible for the overall operations , growth and profitability of our FEC - Jumble. This role will be based out of Dubai, UAE and will report to the CEO - Landmark Leisure "A first of its kind ever, in the UAE, Jumble brings a unique type of adventure to the shores of Dubai. It’s an indoor adventure that uses every bit of your mental and physical skills. Jumble has 16 exhilarating jumbles and each jumble has 2-6 challenging rooms that you and your team have to solve.Some are physical energizing, some mentally stimulating but all are crazy fun. " The job holder will be responsible for independently leading Landmark Leisure strategy and operations for Jumble by working closely with the CEO and members of the leadership team in order to deliver business results (i.e. sales, cash flow and profitability). The job holder will also be responsible for sourcing prospective opportunities for Jumble businesses across the territory complete with an evaluation of local market and regional trends, full due diligence of prospective sites to ensure achievement of growth and market share objectives of the Leisure Division in each Territory. The job holder is responsible to ensure that all opportunities to identify and drive sales are maximized whilst at the same time ensuring tight cost control procedures are in place. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Planning & Direction • Set the strategic direction for Jumble by analysing business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations • Work closely with CEO Landmark Leisure to identify ‘on the ground’ Retail and Operational strategy that the Leisure Division wishes to adopt to achieve business and growth objectives. • Ensure Board guidelines, policies and decisions pertaining to operations are followed and implemented in the business • Finalize the annual business plan, sales and operating budgets for Jumble and monitor implementation • Monitor and analyse findings from competitor and market intelligence data, its impact on the Leisure businesses strategy and provide periodic feedback to the CEO and Business Heads • Conduct ongoing market research (economy, demographics, consumer spends, product preferences) to identify possibilities of new concept introduction, existing concept introduction / penetration and expansion opportunities • Liaise with local government authorities / departments for aspects including but not limited to trade / operating licenses, property acquisitions, civil defence • Negotiate, form, and execute the required terms & conditions, financial aspects and contractual agreements with third parties including but not limited to License agreement / fees, Franchise agreement, Tenancy agreement • Attend and contribute to Head Office, Management meetings as required by the Management Board • Participate and lead in special projects as required by the CEO. 2. Sales and Profitability Optimize Sales potential through effective use of available commercial information§ Monitor sales and communicate results for motivational and comparative purposes§ Conduct variance and sensitivity analysis to determine difference between projected§ & actual results and implement corrective actions. Direct the Budgeting / profitability and assessment of the performance and sales turnover Deliver sales and profitability targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis§ Drive the customer acquisition process through retail and institutional businesses and provide support to the store level teams in achieving the target membership base§ 3. Business Support Ensure the Function Heads are provided with the sufficient resources to support the Business§ Setup the Systems and Processes for Jumble operations. Ensure and oversee the implementation of critical initiatives§ Develop strategies for minimizing overheads, maximizing profit margins, and improving turnover.§ Monitor and coordinate with various functions like Finance, Procurement, Marketing, Business Development etc, in the execution and integration of initiatives and common objectives.§ Ensure teams are aware of and they implement health and safety regulations.§ Analyse the sales and customer preferences data for the entire Territory and recommend new ways of delivering the customer value proposition through the stores.§ Ensure full Information Technology support to the business and full utilization of Information Technology to record sales figures, data analysis and forward planning§ 4. Business Management • Creating new and innovative sales campaigns to grow awareness and drive sales in coordination with the marketing team • Reporting performance of Sales to the management as per required frequency • Manage outbound corporate sales to reach set target • Maintaining a clean CRM to ensure maximum performance with accounts Attend networking events to grow business connections§ 5. People Management Manage the performance of the team – set annual performance goals, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback to improve performance.§ Identify their training and development needs and ensure their fulfilment§ Develop and mentor subordinates to move to the next higher level of job through career planning§ Ensure compliance to Company policies and values 6. Miscellaneous Implement improvements in business processes as directed by Head - Finance§ Represent the Concept in all financial matters with banks, auditors, and other relevant parties§ Train and educate the team members about errors/new developments§ Ensure that all the Concept assets are safeguarded§ Monitor Franchise agreements of various brands (if applicable)§ Monitor and renew Lease Contracts/AMCs/TL/ Insurance (if applicable)§ Coordinate for Project execution (New Stores / Warehouse) requirements (if applicable)§ Handle renewal of Trade Licenses / Lease Agreements / Commercial terms and Trademarks§ Coordinate with the corporate legal team for any legal matter of the concept§
