Fleet Manager

Job Description : FLEET MANAGER TANZANIA Location of work is Zanzibar, Tanzania and candidate will be required to travel within the region to attend vessels mainly mombasa. · Must have high interpersonal skills with good reporting skills. · Must be strong in English spoken and written. · Must have served on board a ship as a Chief Engineer. · Must have acted or worked as technical superintendent or its equivalent. · Must be capable of liaising with Class and Flag state. · Must have vast experience on shipboard engineering processes with hands on experience. · Should be able to coordinate and interpret vessels technical issues · ISM compliant. · Should be able to carry out problem diagnosis and be solution oriented. · Implementing and monitoring a maintenance program for each individual fleet vessel. · Good shipboard management skills · Good communication skills. · Regular ship visit will be required, candidates must be willing to board and sail with vessel for better understand of its operations within the Indian ocean waters. Salary: Usd 4000 - 5500 pcm depending on the qualifications and how much of above they fulfil. Duty hours : 8.30 5.30. Will need to availability during emergency breakdowns at all hours. Job period : 12 months renewable. Qualification and experience required: 15 years in the maritime sector. 10 years as Chief engineer and 5 years as superintendent or fleet manager. Degree in mechanical engineering. Bonus if he has electrical background.
