Regional Cheif Financial Officer

Job Description : REGIONAL CFO DUBAI You will serve as the most senior financial position within the Region and will be a key member of the Executive team responsible for Business Partnering, Financial Management, Management Accounting/Planning, Pricing, Financial Accounting, Internal Controls, Process Optimization, and Taxation matters. Key responsibilities include: · Responsible for determining, implementing, monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating budgetary and accounting strategies, policies, and plans in consultation with other heads of departments within the company. · Acts as a business partner to the commercial team and to support the team especially in the pricing of projects. · Assessing capital expenditure proposals and the financial status of operational projects. · Advising on investment strategies in Mergers and Acquisition deals, including investment funding, cash flow management, and the distribution of earnings. · Driving strategic business plans in the Region including the planning and delivering of medium to long term profit forecasts, budgeting and financial reporting. · Directing the preparation of financial statements and management reports for presentation · Responsible for taxation matters and coordinating the preparation and filing of tax returns including?the provision of tax advice across the Region. · Providing financial information and concluding on implications in relation to profitability and treasury requirements. · Responsible for internal controls and driving compliance to company policies within the Region, ?including conducting audits and investigations where necessary to ensure adherence with financial legislation and standards Key performance indicators include: ? · Profit Margins · Earnings Before and After Tax · Management of Operating Expenses, Cash Flows and Capital Investments · Management of Foreign Currency Exchange Exposure · Effective Tax Rate, Compliance and Optimization Planning · Strong Internal Controls Strategic Planning & Business Partnership ? · Long-term budgetary preparation, planning and costs management including process optimizations and operational support. · Assess organisational performance against both the annual budget and the company’s long-term strategy. · Consider potential mergers and acquisitions, and providing advice on joint ventures, purchase and sales of businesses. · Advise on the financial implications of management decisions and establish the financial soundness of proposed business investments, including expansion into new business or territories, asset acquisitions, and joint ventures. · Ensure that the profits of the Region business units are protected through the establishment of effective financial controls; implementing and maintaining appropriate management accounting and reporting systems, budgetary controls and expenditure procedures. · Leverage accounting systems to provide accurate critical financial information. Accounting and Financial Reporting ? · Preparation of accurate Statutory Financial Statements in accordance with IFRS and GAAP. · Preparation of Management Reporting (MMRs/QBRs) for presentation to Group and Regional ?Executive Committee including monthly and quarterly reviews. · Preparation and management of profit and loss accounts including balance sheet maintenance. · Accurate and timely completion of month-end closing activities including general ledger maintenance, ?reconciliations, corporate/overhead cost allocation, intercompany and contractual billing and cash ?flow planning. · Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, international statutory accounting requirements, ?internal control practices, and joint venture partner reporting for countries within the region. · Oversee the development and maintenance of regional capital expenditure budgets. · Preparation and custodian of accounting policies for the Region in accordance with GAPP.Taxation ? · Review/Preparation of corporate tax returns. · Review/Preparation of quarterly VAT/GST returns. · Tax compliance to ensure that all taxes are paid on time and regional legal entities comply with the ?local tax laws. · Provide tax advice for tax optimization and organization planning. Treasury ? · Liaison with banks on funding and credit arrangements. · Cash management throughout the Region. · Preparation of cash flow forecasts. · Management of financial and capital investments. Internal Controls ? · Drive internal controls in compliance with internal GAPP. · Maintenance of internal control policies via GAPP. · Investigations of fraud in countries. · Working with Internal Audit and External Audit to ensure compliance. Required Skills and Knowledge · Demonstrated leadership skills across large/diverse people businesses and the ability to recruit and develop a high-performing team. · Demonstrated experience and ability to manage/deliver large-scale programs of work in highly complex environments across multiple countries · Exposure to end-to-end Finance function and provision of shared services. · Exposure to different styles and personalities of business unit leaders. · Operated in a customer orientated environment, with experience in services industry desirable · Strong but pleasant personality to effectively manage remotely, be independent and firm whilst at ?same time a team player · Worked in a matrix organization with strong organizational awareness and in managing stakeholders · Good interpersonal skills and driver of change · Excellent communication skills both written and verbal · Experience in working in Joint Venture environment with strong engagement with JV Partners Required Work Experience ? · Experience in Regional role · Minimum 15 years of working experience with at least three years’ experience as CFO or equivalent, preferably in a multi-national organization. · Global experience · Experienced in managing operations in developing countries, diverse nationalities, and cultures. · Executive management experience and track record in budget management, regional strategy setting ?, and execution. · Exposure to dealing with Customers, Banks, Auditors, Legal advisors, Suppliers Required Qualifications ? • CA or CPA qualifications? Required Languages · Excellent written and spoken English. · Russian would be a plus
