8 yearsJob Description : SENIOR PROCUREMENT MANAGER DUBAI The incumbent is responsible for leading a team of professional procurement and contract managers across the organization and for the successful delivery of projects through effective collaboration across work units. Also, the incumbent will be responsible to lead the negotiation, development and management of major projects. The Role · Provide leadership for procurement and contract management across the region · Lead the procurement including oversight of the production of high quality specifications and quotations and evaluation of tenders in accordance with legislative requirements, transparency and due process · Support the Top Management in leading major contract negotiations · Oversee the management of large scale contracts · Provide leadership for the enhancement and continued development of strong organizational procurement and contract management policies, standards, processes, systems and performance measures delivering a consistent best practice approach to contract management · Co-ordinate activities so that support and specialized contract and procurement expertise is provided across the organization. · Lead the exploration and promote consideration of innovative procurement methods · Provide specialist advice and guidance on tendering, procurement and contract management to the broader organization. · Provide high-level advice to Top Management on emerging procurement and contract management issues · Manage the staff, in the areas of operation through both a vertical reporting relationship and a horizontal professional relationship · Manage staff through effective recruitment, retention, recognition and development strategies and ensure effective consultation and communication processes are in place · Provide leadership and support for direct reports, appraise their performance and ensure that staff receive appropriate performance management, professional training and development opportunities · identify, implement and drive change activities with a focus on business improvement · Provide leadership and support in improving key HR performance indicators in the functions of Shared Services · Provide a safe and positive workplace by monitoring and enhancing occupational health and safety requirements ?Qualification & Experience · Bachelor of science degree in Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or equivalent · Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a large organization · Proven working experience as a procurement manager, procurement officer or head of procurement · Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques · Talent in negotiations and networking · Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software · Experience in collecting and analyzing data
