Job Description : GM ABUJA FMCG a digital sales /distributorship company building the future of distribution in emerging markets. They help retailers transform their businesses with access to goods and inventory finance through their ShopTopUp platform. Their mission is to create better everyday lives for retail store owners in Africa and similar markets around the world. They are looking to hire a City Manager a most demanding position it requires such a degree of talent, guts and leadership. The person will be the team leader in Abuja. The GM is responsible for the development and growth of our business in the city Responsibilities · Work with company Launch team to launch ShopTopUp in your city · Initiate creative local marketing strategies and user growth campaigns · Project-manage implementation of operations strategy for your city as well · as help build roadmaps and execution of cross-functional teams including · other operations teams and be responsible for meeting established KPIs. · Hire, develop, and grow your team with bar-raising talent and create a bestin- · class city team. · Have full Profit & Loss responsibility for the business in your city, operating as · a General Manager to build and run a profitable distribution business · Be a strategic thought partner for your team as an expert in the operations of the businessDirectly assist senior operations and cross-functional leaders in decision making for the broader business. · Manage deployment and quality of the supply chain (i.e. supply chain partners) · Represent company at local events and with local PR · Manage local regulatory concerns and local politics · Communicate product/process needs to HQ, work with product/engineering to deliver on them · Help scale our other cities through developing and sharing best practices Competency/Skill/Requirements · 6 years of consulting, investment banking, marketing or operations management experience · Data-driven decision mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking · Creative solutions driven mindset, with a no nonsense attitude · Relevant experience in consumer service marketing is helpful · Stellar networking skills and the ability to make smart partnerships happen · Entrepreneurial DNA and fear tolerance of a honey-badger
