Job Description : GM MARKETING NORTH ASIA FOR PHARMA Scale up current operations in North Asia (main focus on Thailand, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Vietnam) Ensure achievement of budgeted sales and profits in North Asia Launch new country operations Set business goals alongside wider business leadership team to ensure countries commercial outcome fits into the wider business objectives over next years Shape and implement commercial strategies to suit therapy areas covered across countries Manage & grow the commercial business via respective countries' distributors & government tenders. Evaluate Private market entry Ensure supply chain and planning are effectively and accurately managed to maximize product flow Liaison internally/externally to launch new products and to work closely with various Business Partners and monitor their performance for assigned products in targeted market Understanding market dynamics of each country to support development of Accord brand Attract, retain and develop high caliber staff Evaluate internal pipeline and determine gaps with respect to local needs. Plug these gaps through local or international alliances/marketing agreements with Regional BD help Ensure adherence of team to corporate governance expectations Key Result Areas: Framing business strategy to deliver agreed results New country entry Prepare annual North Asia budget Resource planning and allocation New business development Mid to long range planning Monitoring and reviewing strategy & implementation Required Candidate profile Education and Experience: MBA Post-Graduate with a significant experience in Global/Regional pharma company of min 15-17 years Proven local experience in at least one of the key countries (Hong Kong or Vietnam) Demonstrable experience of successfully managing a P&L responsibility Blend of both sales, product marketing and people/distributor management are essential Desired Competencies: Sound strategic thinking ability and leadership skills to provide direction Strong business acumen Excellent communication and presentation skills Able to prioritize, good organizational skills and able to deliver as per set deadlines Incumbent should possess good inter-personal skills, be well networked, easily adaptable to business/cultural traits & have aptitude to see the holistic view
